Is this assessment right for your family?
Our psychological assessments aim to support children and young people facing:
Anxiety (general, social, phobia or panic-related)
Low mood or depression
Low self-esteem
Behavioral difficulties, including anger management
Obsessions and compulsions (OCD)
Emotional regulation challenges
Trauma and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
Loss, grief, or family separation
Sleep disturbances
Peer relationship difficulties
Attachment concerns
How our assessments work
At interACT Psychology, we’ve developed a simple and effective process to provide the clarity and direction you need:
Understanding your perspective
Approx. 30 minutes
We start with a 30-minute conversation with parents or caregivers, to understand from your perspective what you see going on at home. We listen to your concerns and gain insight into your child’s challenges.
Getting to know your child
Approx. 90 minutes
Next, we conduct a 90-minute session with your child in a supportive, welcoming environment. This allows us to get to know them - beyond their psychological needs and to learn more about the reasons they have come to see us.
Clear answers and next steps
Approx. 2–3 weeks after your child’s session
After gathering all the necessary information, we discuss plans of care and provide a letter outlining our understanding of the problem and specific recommendations for the most appropriate interventions to meet your child/ families needs.
Therapeutic interventions may be delivered by the same therapist who carried out the assessment or a different therapist in the team to ensure the most suitable therapy is provided.
Assessment fee: £390
Each assessment is carried out with care and expertise—so you receive meaningful, personalised guidance for your child:
Initial 30-minute parent consultation
90-minute child assessment session
Summary letter with findings and recommendations
Payment:
We accept private payment, which is taken at the time of your appointment.
Paying with health insurance?
While we may be able to accept clients using health insurance, this must be discussed in advance. Just be aware that any difference between our fee and what your insurer covers would need to be paid by you.
